Fortifying baths and digestive action of rosemary

In ancient times, rosemary was used for several purposes: first to weave wreaths together with myrtle and bay, then as main ingredient for perfumery and finally for therapeutic uses too.

Fortifying baths are a good and effective remedy against tiredness and fatigue: boil 10 rosemary branches in 2 l of water. Add it to bath water.

On the contrary, for an antidepressant and digestive action, infuse one tsp of rosemary flowers in 1 l of boiled but not boiling hot water and let it stand for half an hour.
Drink a cup every 2-3 hours.
As for digestive action, you can also prepare a normal tea.

You can grow rosemary in the garden or in a pot: it grows better close to the wall in a sunny place, exposed to the sun. It’s sowed between April and May, but you can find it throughout the year.
